Interdisciplinary Outreach
I have successfully led various multidisciplinary teams from the initiation of the projects to the successful completion and transferred knowledge and technologies to Singapore government and industry in I2R, Siemens Singapore and NTU. As an example, World Chinese Business Network, (WCBN) was initiated by MM Lee Kuan Yew. The bilingual online business network provides links to Chinese enterprises and corporations in over 120 countries and regions. Other government and industry R&D projects include fuzzy name search for Singapore immigration, URA and OCBC bank. Recently as a Co-PI, I have led 4 national research projects in IDM from NRF, MDA and MOE respectively in the topics of learning in virtual world, learning skills assessment, interactive cinema and e-learning. Currently as a projct PI, I am leading research projects on active living for elderly in the areas of serious games, ageing in place, ageing friendly e-commerce and elderly training.
